The Primitivo del Salento is a wonderfully elegant wine from the heel of Italy. A nice round wine full and rich in tannins, with an intense fruitiness of plum and cherry. After the melolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 3 to 6 months in American oak. This gives the wine a light aroma of vanilla.
