Domaine Lafage Maury is a dark dessert wine made from 100% Grenache Noir grapes. An intense sweet wine with aromas and flavours of red fruits such as strawberries and blackberries. The taste is full, powerful but nicely balanced. The wine is delicious with sweet desserts such as a chocolate cake, or pair with a nice selection of cheeses.
About the winery: Sandwiched between the azure Mediterranean and the mighty Pyrenees, in the far south of France between Perpignan and the coast, lies the 15th-century mas Domaine Lafage. Surrounding the centuries-old cellars are no less than 140 hectares of vineyards on poor soils of schist and chalk. The estate is now run by the sixth generation of vignerons: the passionate winemaker couple Jean-Marc and Eliane Lafage. After many wanderings around the world and working at various wine producers, Jean-Marc has returned to his parents' wine nest.
